CHAPEL KIDS LEADER
I have been a follower of Christ for as long as I can remember. My family moved to Jacksonville when my dad, Chris Douglas, took the head football coach position at MacMurray College. I felt at home in Jacksonville and decided to get baptized when I was 11. My mom, Michelle Douglas, was a high capacity volunteer in children’s ministry and took over as the Children’s Minister at our church in 2014 and I have watched her lead and connect kids and their families to Christ in every aspect of her life.

I met my husband Isaiah when his family moved to Jacksonville in 2017. We started dating the following year, married in 2020, had our son Judah in 2021, and our daughter Amelia in 2024.

I have always had a passion for leading and teaching kids. As a first grader my dream was to be a kindergarten teacher, as I grew, that passion molded me to be a volunteer in many areas of ministry. In 2019 I took a teachers assistant position with plans to teach full time the following year, but God had other plans! Covid lockdown began thus temporarily shutting down the school. Then MacMurray, which I was attending at the time, closed its doors. The following August we discovered that we were expecting Judah! I changed my plans to mold to what I felt God was asking of me. I stayed home, and still do, taking care of my babies and homeschooling them.

There’s a phrase- “it takes a village” but I believe it takes a family.

I hope I can be that for you and your children as we learn about the Lord together.
